Lipton Packaging Redesign

Brief.

The current project is package redesign; we must take an existing package and redesign it in our style with provided purposes for all choices.

I chose Lipton Anise Herbal Infusion package to redesign as it the original packaging was, in my eyes, quite dull and unorganized. I found that although it was a very different and unique infusion, it unfortunately blended in with the original Lipton tea packaging (black tea) and thus may not grasp a customers’ attention.

Star anise along with the other herbal blends included in this tea have known to have a soothing and sleeping effect. Hence, the packaging has been aimed to portray that using an imagery of a dark and starry meadow field. All the main ingredients have been used as literal elements of the dark night: anise as stars and elderflower etc. as the meadow. The different shades of  blue adds to this calming outcome as well as reminds customers of the ‘night’ element. These little creative alterations constantly and clearly depict the images of a tranquil tea.

Logo.

I recreated the logo by observing it and accurately coping it in both English and Arabic.

Old Design.
All the other herbal teas had a theme except the Anise box, it resembles the original red tea bag, so I decided to redesign it and give it a theme that compliments the flavor and effect of Anise

New Design.
For the new design I decided to use different shades of blue because blue is known to be a color to calm the nerves. I chose different kinds of Anise decorating the box as a night sky and a green field.
